Audition
My normal audition process involves two separate aspects:
1) We must meet for a meal, conversation and discuss the project and – mostly – see if we have any rapport. Working together, for me, is mostly about having a solid bond of trust and connection. This is more important, in fact, than your talent or performance ability.
2) I must see you in action. If you are currently in a production, let me know and I will do what I can to see it. If you aren’t, I will give you some material to work with and we can arrange a 1-hour session where we work on the selection together.
Primarily, I am attracted to performers who have fatigued of the common audition process. I am very interested in individuals who have given up acting due to the challenging nature of the business but who still retain an interest in the art of performance. Your life experience is more appealing to me than your stage experience.
If you wish to contact me, you may do so (for now) by submitting a comment below and I will get back to you asap.
